Bego is already getting great press notices for Billy Joel: The Biography. Michael Glynn writes in The National Enquirer, Celebrity author Mark Bego delves deep into the dark side of the Piano Man. blockbuster new biography of the hugely successful singer / songwriter. Scott Shannon famed DJ of New York City radio station WPLJ claims, "I a ll make it plain and simple: if you have ever purchased a record or CD by Billy Joel, you will enjoy this book. It' s well written, meticulously researched, and by the time you' re done with it, you'll feel like you were hanging out with Billy.
Branching out into new arena's 2006 Mark published a collaboration with famed psychic to the stars called Yolana: Just One More Question. He just completed a personal memoir called Paperback Writer. He is also working with Lamar Fike, legendary Elvis Presley confidante, on a book called FIKE: An Uncommon Journey.
Bego has also recently launched his own line of jewelry. He has been designing jewelry since the 1970s, and he is now actively producing and selling it on this website in the "Jewelry" section (click on the link on the navigation bar above).

Entertainment Online in 2000 named MarkA s book, I Fall to Pieces: The Music and The Life of Patsy Cline (1995), one of the Top Ten Best Music Biographies of all times. His other books on country music stars have included George Strait (1997),
Alan Jackson: Gone Country (1993), and LeAnn Rimes (1998)
In
1994 he collaborated with Martha Reeves of Martha Reeves & The Vandellas on the Chicago Tribune Best Seller, Dancing in the Street: Confessions of a Motown Diva. He also wrote I' m a Believer with Micky Dolenz (1993), and One is the Loneliest Number with Jimmy Greenspoon of Three Dog Night.
Bego's
books have also encompassed several other entertainment industry subjects. He has written about television: TV Rock--The History of Rock & Roll on Television (1988), and the movies: Will Smith: The Freshest Prince (1998), Matt Damon: Chasing a Dream (1998), and Rock Hudson: Public and Private (1986).
Based on the success of Mark's biography on Leonardo DiCaprio, world-famous Melitta Coffee Company in 1998 named a new coffee blend after him.
